BECOME A HIGH CALIBRE SPORTS COACH

Are you passionate about sports and coaching?

High Calibre Sports run multi sport programs in remote NT and through Central Australia. To experience remote NT in it's element through sport is amazing. We are welcomed into remote communities in a way that no other industry has the privilege to experience.

We have a heavy focus on softball, basketball and a little AFL due to their popularity in community, but we love building new sports and games into our programs.

As a growing small business, we fit into a very particular and special niche in the NT and due to the popularity of our programs, we are always looking for coaches to join our database for probably one of the best coaching experiences they can have.

We want to expand our coaching expertise across more sports, so don’t be afraid to pass our message to mates outside your immediate circle.

What we're looking for:

Someone who is passionate and brings energy to a program
A personable and adaptable demeanour
A great coaching history with supportive references
Willing to work in culturally diverse settings and environments
MUST have Working With Children Checks
PHYSICALITY - this is quite a physical coaching role - whether you're out and about on the field with the kids, or dealing with heat most of you won't be used to. AND sessions could be through a school day so 5 hours of back-to-back classes.

What you get:

All expenses paid experience like no other! Yes, we will cover the cost of your flights from anywhere in Australia to Darwin or Alice Springs before hitting the road out bush. Accommodation provided and Travel Allowance paid to cover the cost of any meals while your away.

All our coaches will come in at an entry level. We will take you out with an experience program coach to make sure you get the best of your time there. If it is for you, then we'll look to getting you on board for more programs. If not, that's ok too! If we're all a great fit, we'll take you on as many programs as we can fit in together.

Incentives you ask - we want our coaches to have an opportunity grow, so if we think you're what we're looking for as Lead Coach in High Calibre Sports, and you have all your sports' relevant coaching qualifications, we'll train you to be the lead in our next programs. You'll get to take new coaches under your wing and show them what it takes to be a High Calibre Sports coach. And, not only will your expenses be paid, but we can offer wages for the programs as well!

Types of programs

Most of our programs are 1, 2 or 3 weeks long.
Some programs could be up to 3 months long!!!
We also have opportunities for full time work with some of our partners.

How it works

Register your details on the link below
We'll get in touch with you and your references and any state bodies if needed
Once we lock you in as a potential coach, you'll go on database of coaches
When we receive programs to deliver we'll reach out to our database of coaches and see who is available
- NOTE: programs can be advised 6 months in advance or in the next few weeks!
- If you can't attend any programs - don't worry we wont take you off our list! We know that you're trying to fit these programs into your schedule and may even be taking time off work to do so!
- We will be selective with who we send on what programs, and who we partner coaches with. There are some settings where it is appropriate to send female coaches only or male coaches only or a mix
When we lock you in, we'll get all the relevant paperwork to you before you go. This will also mean you need to complete and return any paperwork as soon as possible
Additional Requirements
- Some locations will require Permits to access the lands
- Some programs will require a current Police Check be completed before travel

COVID-19

We are well aware of complications around travel due to COVID-19 and sudden lockdowns. We will take each day and each program as it comes and work out a solution where we can. It may simply mean delaying the programs for a few days, or we defer it for a few months. If you can't attend the new dates, we'll reach out to our other coaches and see who can step in.

COVID-19 tests will be required for every trip. Please be prepared and willing to have a test done in the days prior to your travel. You will not be allowed entry to community if you don't have negative test result paperwork.
